Penn State football recruiting chat, 8 p.m., Feb. 3

Penn State’s first recruiting class to be finished by James Franklin should be wrapped up in about 48 hours.

But that doesn’t mean there won’t be some late drama to follow through national signing day.

Could freshman Antoine White evolve into another Jordan Hill? Let's chat about that tonight.

Could freshman Antoine White evolve into another Jordan Hill? Let’s chat about that tonight.

Let’s chat about that and everything else Penn State football tonight from 8 to 9. If you can’t join tonight, or just can’t wait to post a question or comment, make sure to stop by at any point today.

We will talk about your thoughts on this class started by Bill O’Brien and finished on a hot streak by Franklin. And with defensive end Lloyd Tubman now possibly going elsewhere, will the Nittany Lions fill two more slots by Wednesday?

In the meantime, get to know one of the five early enrollees in this class right here. Looks like Antoine White will be just as valuable off the field as on it.

Plus, here’s my take on why assistant coach Herb Hand’s arrival at Penn State is so timely.

Any chance we just save one or two scholarships for next recruiting season?

Yes, I definitely think James Franklin could hold 1-2 spots over for the 2-15 recruiting class. If he’s able to land someone in the next two days like Florida defensive back Lamont Simmons … or someone even higher-rated, great. If not, I doubt he will use it on a lesser prospect.
This staff is too good with an entire 2015 cycle not to bank, if possible.
