Penn State football chat, 8 p.m., April 21

Penn State actually has gone an entire week without landing a verbal commitment.

But that doesn’t mean recruiting is slowing down. Actually, James Franklin and his staff are just beginning the busiest time of the recruiting (and public appearance) calendar. From now through the end of the May, coaches will be evaluating high school talent across the country as well as embarking on the “Coaches Caravan” tour, which will stop in York.

Penn State is searching hard for more recruits like freshman Antoine White.

Let’s chat about recruiting and everything else Penn State football Monday night from 8 to 9. Who will be the next commitment? Plus, give me your take on the Lions’ weakest and strongest spots on the team heading into summer camp.

Meanwhile, check out my feature story on incoming recruit Nick Scott, who has local connections, and may just be the best leaper on the team.

Also, here’s my latest take on what the next steps are for Franklin and his staff at Penn State.

  1. PJ says:

If PSU can’t land Wimbush what QB do you think Franklin will go after the hardest?

    • Frank Bodani says:

Hi PJ… Good question but tough call now. Brandon Wimbush is on the top tier for PSU, pretty much by himself. Maybe they take a quick run at California quarterback Brady White. After that, mix of Alex Malzone, Kyle Shurmur, Pat Kehoe for now.
