
The board that oversees public transportation in the San Francisco Bay Area has drawn up rules that prohibit twittering, blogging or using cell phones at meetings.

-- a perfectly reasonable thing discuss and debate. But things went
downhill after a protester threw red paint during the board meeting.
Keeping with the tradition of (over)reacting to these kinds of things, the board did the totally (un)reasonable thing of banning tweets and a whole slew of things, including booing and clapping during meetings.
I mean, because why shouldpeasants taxpayers have a right to boo and clap at the Kings and Queens that rule over us public servants?
