I’ve heard that sometimes people who aren’t running even as a write-in get picked, so you might want to check the list to see if you’re on it.

On the subject of write-ins, here’s the latest in York City Council’s election, in which ousted incumbent Toni Smith is challenging the write-in victory of Michael Helfrich.
