Here's to hoping the courts here follow the lead of the Washington state Supreme Court.
The court there ruled that withholding public records on the public financing of a stadium justifies a $800,000 fine. In the case, a man had to wait years to get all the public records he sought -- well after the vote on the project.
The fine sounds fair to me.
A justice explained why the fine should be so much:
"A flea bite does little to deter an elephant."
