Time will name York's wall

The buzz this week around Sovereign Bank Park has been about the York stadium’s yet-to-be-
completed 38-foot wall in left field.

And like the Green Monster in Boston, there’s a belief that this wall needs a name. That might be true, but it also might be too early for that.

After all, we haven’t even seen it yet; haven’t seen what it looks like; haven’t deemed it pleasing
or ominous; haven’t observed how it plays; haven’t judged its character.

Perhaps, if we show patience, York’s unique wall will name itself — for a player who has yet to shine or a sensational play yet to be made.
