No promises for Bergeron -- yet

| | Comments (0)

Peter Bergeron has major league experience playing center field.

But that doesn't mean he is going to play that position for the York Revolution.

York manager Chris Hoiles said Bergeron could be his Opening Day starter in center, but that isn't a given.

Hoiles said he liked the flexibility Bergeron gives his club. Bergeron can play another outfield position if the Revs find another outstanding center fielder. Or the club can build its outfield around Bergeron.

Also in Revs news, after talking to Revs Director of Baseball Operations Adam Gladstone on Saturday, the club had yet to sign a player at the Atlantic League's open tryout camp in Lakeland, Fla. Gladstone and Hoiles expected to scout players at the camp again on Sunday.
