Another day, another player lost

| | Comments (0)

Talk about bad timing.

Travis Hake is expected to miss three to four weeks with a broken bone in his hand. Hake left Wednesday's game after sliding head first. After returning to York, doctors confirmed he had broken a bone. Revs play-by-play announcer Darrell Henry described the injury as a clean break.

Hake's injury came on the same day the Revs lost pitchers Ryan Baerlocher and Adam Thomas to affiliated clubs.

But the bad news keeps coming.

Revs first baseman/DH Matt Dryer left Thursday's game for unspecified reasons.

The Revs did recruit some replacements.

York signed two players prior to Thursday's games. The Revs activated infielder Ramon Nivar and right-handed pitcher Byron Batson. Batson pitched a perfect eighth inning in Thursday's game.
