Former Revs update

| | Comments (0)

OK so they never technically played in York. But that's not their fault. We have a half-finished stadium to thank for that mess. But we digress ....

Here's a look at three former Revs who earned promotions to affiliated ball.

Ryan Baerlocher, RHP
Team: Richmond Braves (AAA)
Pitching: 1 GS, 6 IP, 11 H, 4 ER, 2 BB, 0 K
Latest: Started his first game for the Braves Saturday, and did not earn a decision. He left the game after the sixth inning with the game tied 4-4. Richmond lost to the Ottawa Lynx 5-4.
Of note: After compiling an Atlantic League-leading 41 Ks in 36 IP, he didn't strike out a batter in his International League debut.

Tike Redman, OF
Team: Norfolk Tides (AAA)
Batting: .297 AVG, 21 G, 21 R, 22 H, 4 3B, 1 HR
Latest: The former major leaguer's batting average has cooled off significantly since he earned International League Player of the Week honors during his first week in Triple-A earlier this month. But he remains near the .300 mark.
Of note: Went 2-for-5 in Norfolk's 8-5 loss to Syracuse on Tuesday. His batting average after the game was .339. His average has dropped more than 40 points since then.

Adam Thomas, RHP
Team: Stockton Ports (A)
Pitching: 3.2 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 5 K
Latest: Pitched three shutout innings to earn his second California League victory Sunday in the Ports' 5-3 victory against the San Jose Giants.
Of note: Earned win in his California League debut this season, throwing 1 2/3 innings of scoreless ball Thursday. The Ports beat the Modesto Nuts 8-7.
