Former Revs update

| | Comments (0)

Thanks to the Revs' wacky schedule, most local fans never got a chance to see three of York's best players. That's what happens when a stadium doesn't open until the 36th game of the season.

And don't look now but Tike Redman should earn a shot with the big club if one of the O's outfielders goes down with an injury. The former Pirates outfielder has the best batting average of any player on the Norfolk Tides (Triple-A), and none of the other three outfielders are hitting better than .230.

Here's a breakdown of the guys who didn't make it to the home opener:

Ryan Baerlocher, RHP
Richmond Braves (Atlanta's Triple-A affiliate)
0-1 in three starts
3.86 ERA
18.2 IP
10 Ks/6 BBs

Adam Thomas, RHP
Stockton Ports (Oakland's Single-A affiliate)
2-0 in five appearances
0.00 ERA
11.1 IP
15 Ks/1 BBs

Tike Redman, OF
Norfolk Tides (Baltimore's Triple-A affiliate)
.303 avg. (33-for-109)
31 games
4 doubles, 4 triples, 1 HR
14 Ks/16 BBs
