Old players out, new guys ... coming

Clipper Magazine Stadium is a busy place this afternoon.

Players are jumping ship from the South Division cellar-dwelling York and Lancaster franchises. And both teams are making moves to attempt a second-half push.

The biggest news involves York sending INF Victor Gutierrez to Newark for RHP Barry Armitage. Armitage is not expected to play for York, and could be packaged in a deal Thursday.

Also on the move, Lancaster expects to sign a utility infielder in the next few days.

These are the official deals announced in the last 48 hours:

* York OF Danny Bautista left the team prior to Tuesday's rainout. He has been placed on the inactive list.

* York signed INF Keoni De Renne.

* Lancaster OF Quincy Foster had his contract purchased by the Yucatan Lions of the Mexican League.

* Lancaster signed outfielder Vince Blue, who spent the early part of 2007 in Toledo (Triple-A) in the Detroit organization.
