June 14
Revs 13, Patriots 6

The Revolution will roll into town on a winning streak.

The Revs rallied from a five-run deficit to score a 13-6 victory against the Somerset Patriots at Commerce Bank Ballpark in Bridgewater, N.J. The Revs are expected to arrive in York at about 2:30 a.m. before playing the franchise home opener at 7:17 p.m. at Sovereign Bank Stadium Friday.

Granted, Sovereign Bank Stadium hadn't passed inspection as of Thursday night. But, well, it's not like it's the last minute or anything. The folks on N. George St. still have roughly 19 hours to finalize the paperwork and open the gates for the franchise home opener.

Dave Gil (1-2) finally earned his first victory of the season despite being one of the team's most dominant pitchers since returning from the disabled list on May 18.

It wasn't easy.

York needed a four-run sixth inning, and six-run seventh to take the lead.

Shortstop Rayner Bautista went 4-for-5 with 3 RBIs for the Revs. Danny Bautista went 3-for-5 and Luis Taveras went 2-for-5 with 3 RBIs. And second baseman Ramon Nivar made a little bit of history, walking a team record four times.

It was only the second time in 22 games that the Revs won when trailing after six innings.
