(York, Pa): 2009 York Revolution players Jason Aspito, Daryl Harang, Matt Padgett, Matt Rogelstad, and Corey Thurman will be holding a host of baseball clinics and workouts for children of all ages this winter throughout York County. Boys and girls beginning at age four, up to male and female high school athletes will learn similar techniques as professional baseball players in order to improve their skills and enjoyment of the game.
Beginning on Monday, November 16th, Aspito, Padgett and Rogelstad will provide hitting instruction to all ages of kids at John O'Keefe Park in New Freedom, PA. The sessions will also consist of professional pitching instructions from Revolution Starting Pitchers Thurman and Harang. The players will continue the instructional programs in the winter with a special four-day Christmas Training Camp beginning on December 26th.
High School Athletes can take advantage of the York Revolution's professional workout regimen by participating in the High School Spring Training which will commence on January 3rd at Hardkohr Gym in York. Local high school baseball and softball players can also get in shape with Revolution catcher Josh Johnson and Revs former manager and Baltimore Oriole Chris Hoiles during the eight workout sessions.
"I've really enjoyed teaching kids in the past," said Revolution veteran Jason Aspito. "I'm thrilled to help these local kids enjoy the game of baseball because I never had this kind of opportunity when I was their age."
