Harang joins big brother, Reds

Former Revs starting pitcher Daryl Harang (pictured at right) earned an invitation to spring training with the Cincinnati Reds organization. Harang entered 2009 with only one career pro start, but he turned into a reliable starter for York.

Harang’s older brother, Aaron, pitched for the Reds last season.
Harang moved to York in the offseason and worked briefly in the Revs front office. The Revs traded him before New Year’s, shipping his rights to Long Island in exchange for the rights to outfielder Jose Herrera.
Newark OF Charlton Jimerson (Twins) and Long Island RHP B.J. Lamura (Blue Jays) also earned invites to spring camp with big league organizations during the last eight days.
