York Revolution photo caption contest winners

(Daily Record/Sunday News — Kate Penn)

Thanks to everyone who entered our York Revolution photo caption contest! Be sure to check out the wide variety of captions that readers submitted for a shot at Revs tickets.

It was a tough choice, but we came up with three winners. Reporter Jim Seip chose one, photographer Kate Penn chose the second, since she created the photo in the first place. And the third one was chosen randomly from the remaining entries. See who won after the jump.

Jim’s pick: Steve McNamee submitted this caption:
Etch’ offers a souvenir autograph to a young Revs’ fan… who glares back with uncertainty thinking, “Geez, I hope this old guy won’t be playing tonight?!”
(All in good fun, of course!)

Kate’s pick: C. Brown wrote this one:
“Thank you for the autograph Mr. Etch, but I’m gonna need your jersey too.”

Random winner: Ed Saxe’s number was drawn randomly for this caption:
I will give this to you now but, don’t cash it until after the play offs.

Congrats to the winners, and enjoy your tickets!
