Sovereign Bank Stadium to be renamed in ’14

The home of the York Revolution will have a new name for the 2014 season. Santander Stadium will be the new name of Sovereign Bank Stadium, a move that’s been a possibility since Santander purchased Sovereign Bank in 2009.

    I wonder if they’ve given any thought to “Santander Field” instead of “Santander Stadium.” Field sounds more old school baseball like. It also rolls off the tongue a little easier.

      I’m on board with this as well. Let’s hope the team pushes for Santander Field. Forget saying it five times fast, ask people to say “Santander Stadium” once and it produces some weird attempts.
