The league’s All-Star Game MVP award is named for Stephen R. Shilling. The founding owner of the Camden Riversharks, Shilling died in May 2003 at the age of 45 after an eight-month battle with brain cancer. A 1980 graduate of Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pa., Shilling also has a memorial dedicated to him outside Campbell’s Field.
