Longtime minor league baseball front office employee, Matt O’Brien, has settled in with the NBA. The inaugural general manager for the Long Island Ducks, York Revolution and Sugar Land Skeeters franchises left Sugar Land in March and he has accepted a front office job with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Travel taking its toll
The Houston Chronicle highlighted the difficulties facing the Sugar Land Skeeters as they embark on a travel-filled 2012 season. The Skeeters, located in the Houston suburbs, are the only team in the Atlantic League located west of Pennsylvania.
