Crews repairing bridge on Cool Springs Road

| | Comments (0)

Work has started to rehabilitate a bridge on Cool Springs Road over Route 30 in Hellam Township, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

Traffic has been shifted to make room for the repairs. It may be necessary at times to close a lane over the bridge, but no lane closures are permitted between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Any traffic lane restrictions underneath the bridge on Route 30 will be limited to between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m., according to PennDOT.

The project includes pier repairs, expansion joint replacement and deck patching. The repairs should remove the bridge from a structurally deficient classification.

PennDOT has contracted with Deblin, Inc. of Mechanicsburg to do the work for nearly $1.1 million.
