Smart video: From trash to treasure

In a season full of gift bags and gift wrap and gift tags, I was excited to find a different idea on Pinterest a few weeks ago. Instead of buying a new bag for every recipient, you can use a few sheets of newspaper to create your own!

All the supplies you’ll need are likely already in your home: Newspaper, thin cardboard (a cereal box, for example), scissors, tape, glue, a ruler and string or yarn. Take a few minutes to measure, cut, fold and paste and — ta da! — you have an Earth-friendly (and wallet-friendly) alternative to a store-bought gift bag.

Check out the video and let me know how it goes if you try it out!
