Unless you’ve been living under a rock this past week, you’re well aware that Sunday is Mother’s Day — and there’s plenty going on in York County to celebrate moms! Here are a few things to keep in mind.
- The Olde York Street Fair runs 12:30 to 6 p.m. Sunday along Market Street, with live music, kids’ entertainment, food and craft vendors. You can find a (hefty) listing of street closings at York City Limits.
- If you need a last-minute gift idea, offer to organize Mom’s pantry for her with these handy tips and downloadable labels. She might appreciate it more than another bouquet of flowers.
- Or, get the kids involved to create a special placecard as a 365-days-a-year reminder of how special Mom is.
- Can’t be with Mom this year? Read a story from the winner of our Mother’s Day contest — Linda Decroes’ selfless love is sure to warm your heart. Or, for a laugh, check out Courtney Cashour’s letter to her mom.
