Each Tuesday during the Smart Health Challenge, Phases Fitness co-owner Mindy Quesenberry gives her take on challenge winner Jess Reed’s progress and offer suggestions to anyone else considering creating a healthier lifestyle.
Quesenberry writes this week:
To all the nutritional cheaters out there … it happens! Am I OK with it? NO! Are we human, do we all do it? YES! Jess knew that it was not the best choice, she knew the guilt would get her, and she knew she would PAY, lol!

Mindy Quesenberry, right, leads Jess Reed's personal training session last Wednesday at Phases Fitness.
Moving ahead, my expectations workout-wise will get bigger. As I have said before, Jess will progress nicely in the workout department. Honestly, she is a natural. She is finishing classes and taking more of my intensity during training. Again, no need for sympathy — she rocks the workouts!
In closing, I want to tell the cheaters that you need to push forward. No day is a wash just because you screw up with a cheat. Get back in there and decide no more cheating OR taste-testing, Jess!
