While I like to channel my inner Zooey Deschanel, my brow-skimming fringe is a bit of a hassle.
Bangs require frequent trims, which run about $7 every few weeks because I am too nervous to cut them myself.
But my biggest beef with bangs is that, if I don’t wash my hair every single day, they show it.
I used to be able to go a day or two in between washing and straightening my long hair. But now I wake up looking like Cameron Diaz from “There’s Something About Mary.”
And by the end of the work day, my bangs start to look a little bit greasy — I can’t tell if it is my forehead making my hair oily or the other way around.
My recent saving grace has been dry shampoo. I found Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak Dry Shampoo, and was instantly hooked on the light fragrance and $6 price tag. A small burst aerosol spray absorbs excess oil and leaves my bangs with a matte finish in between shampoos.
Real Simple compiled a list of its favorite dry shampoos, which range in price from $6 to $24.
