Makeup review: Sally Hansen’s Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips

Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips in 470 LUST-ROUS

I wanted to try Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips by Sally Hansen.

They looked like a pretty slick way to add some flair to my nails.

I purchased 470 Lust-rous from Target.

I carefully followed the direction by prepping my nails, making sure they were clean and dry.

I carefully placed a strip on my thumb. It was a little crooked, so I tried to reapply, but it’s like applying a sticker to your nail.

I then smoothed out the strip using the cuticle stick they provided. But the edges wouldn’t stick to my nail.

The one and only strip I placed on my thumb. It would not stick to the edges of my nail.

I then tried to file the excess strip that was hanging off the nail with the small nail file that they provided.

The file didn’t do a thing, so I took my cuticle clippers and trimmed the excess off. I still had some of strip left, so I tried filing it off, but that did not work.

I gave up after one nail strip application. I think I will stick to regular nail polish.
