Women’s Show to celebrate 15th year in York

Women's Show at York Expo Center 2012Join Smart magazine at the Women’s Show Oct. 6 and 7 at the York Expo Center. Smart editor April Trotter will be hanging out from 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 6 to chat about story ideas and suggestions for future issues.

And ladies from the Smart team will be there all weekend long to give away a three-month Sunday print subscription to the York Sunday News and an all-access digital subscription to ydr.com.

Aside from the rockin’ presence of Smart, the Women’s show is “shaping up to the bigger and better than ever,” according to a release — this year, it turns 15. The show will offer two days of shopping, exhibits, entertainment, seminars and demonstrations. Oh, and did we mention prizes? From a $500 Weis Markets gift card to ski/snowboard lessons at Roundtop Mountain Resort, there’s plenty to wish for.

WGAL’s News 8′s Anne Shannon will be the keynote speak at 1 p.m. Saturday, but the fun runs 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Admission is $4, or attendees can present a Weis Markets Preferred Shoppers Club Card for free admission or download a ticket at www.thepeak985.com.
