Watch out, Barack Obama and Mitt Romney. Four new candidates have entered the ring.
And they look delicious.
Brown’s Orchards in Springfield Township will be holding an Appl-E-lection today through Nov. 6.
“We’ve always been a patriotic bunch,” Brown’s Orchards president Dave Brown said in a press release. “We feel very strongly about getting out there to vote, and of course, we love to promote healthy eating. So we thought we’d combine the two into a fun event.”
Kids — and kids at heart — can cast their vote for their favorite of four popular varieties in Brown’s Orchards’ kid-size voting booths.
The candidates and their platforms are as follows:
• John A. Gold – Promises a pie in every oven. He’s your down-home sweet guy whose tasty promises are as good as gold.
• Chris Pin – The Green Party Candidate, he offers a change from the ordinary. No need to choose the same old-same old.
• Miss Cammie O – Up and coming, she’s the New Party Favorite. Oh-so-sweet with just the right amount of attitude.
• “Red” D. Lishuss – Tried and true, he’s the Old Party Favorite. Red stands firm on taste and mouth-watering appeal.
Brown’s Orchards said write-ins are also allowed. For details, call 717-428-2036.
