Looking for a bargain this holiday season? What about a bargain that also supports York County community projects and grants?

The Junior League of York will host its 40th annual toy sale from 8 to 11 a.m. Dec. 1 at Asbury United Methodist Church, 340 E. Market St., York. Reasonably priced, new and gently used toys will be available, from books and bikes to electronics, board games and baby items.

The sale “satisfies a two-fold purpose,” according to a press release: “to provide an affordable option for families on a budget and to raise funds to support York County community projects and grants.”

Donations are welcomed from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday before Nov. 30 at the Junior League Thrift Shop, 166 W. Market St. — or — noon to 7 p.m. Nov. 30 at Asbury United Methodist Church.
