Students at Weigelstown Elementary learn about giving

Yesterday, I spent part of my morning at Weigelstown Elementary School, in the Dover

The “Thankful Tree” in the Weigelstown Elementary School lobby contains paper acorns, on which students have written what they are thankful for.

Area School District, where students have been learning about giving.

Students participated in an SPCA drive in memory of a substitute teacher who passed away, and they gathered supplies for victims of Hurricane Sandy, among other initiatives.

Principal Davonna Rickard said the school is trying to build better citizens.
