In between traveling, stuffing our faces with cookies and spreading holiday cheer, it’s been a busy few weeks.
Today, we’re taking time out to share our favorite fashion finds from under the Christmas tree.
From sweaters to shoes to purses, Smart bloggers share the best gifts they received this year:
Sam Dellinger: Technically I didn’t get any fashionable items underneath my Christmas tree this year. My husband and I are remodeling our kitchen, bathroom and living room, so we agreed that was our gift.
I did however get some moolah! So I went shopping and found a Calvin Klein handbag at Ross.
The original selling price was $78 but it was discounted to $34.99. I found the exact same purse on eBay selling for $78. And I also found it online at Macy’s selling for $88.
April Trotter: My New Year’s fashion resolution for 2013 was to get some heels, so I was really happy when one of the gifts from my boyfriend was a gift card earmarked for some booties (smart man, not picking them out himself!).
I found these Ingalls Ohio Olive Leather Boots at Clarks for $94.99. The olive color is fun, but also practical — I wanted something that could go with black or brown. True to their description, they look great with tights or skinny jeans. I’m also pairing them with cuffed straight-leg jeans for a more casual look. And the 2-inch heel is walkable yet stylish.
Honorable mention for presents under the tree goes to my little sister for finding these long sought after Nine West Superfly flats (they sold out so quickly last summer!) and to the boyfriend for indulging my J.Crew obsession and gifting me with a timeless Collection Cashmere Long-Sleeve Tee in bright butternut.

Thanks Dad for this Urban Outfitters’ sweater, but, let’s face it, I know mom got it. (Photo taken by my mom)
It’s a soft, stretchy, heavy-weight turtleneck sweater that pleats at the waist.
It’s a classic piece that works with jeans, novelty pants, trousers or a pencil skirt.
The cotton-spandex mix will keep you warm in a snow storm, but doesn’t need to be dry-cleaned (hand washing will do).
Natalie Schwind: I’m gonna have to say my best fashion gift for Christmas was dinosaur slippers from my brother.
They’re really silly — not to mention soft and comfy.
