The week of January 20-26 in York County was Buck-A-Book Week, a fundraiser for the York County Literacy Council. We were thrilled to find out that it is open to homeschooling families as well as local public- and private-school students, and our daughter, Sarah, raised more than $175 for the council’s programs by reading 10 books!
As a special thank-you to her sponsors, we took photos of Sarah with each book and posted a special thank-you message. You can see all the cool things we read on Our School at Home here!
Some of the books we read came from a recent trip to the Barnes & Noble in Lancaster. We’d stopped there after spending the day in Lititz touring two amazing attractions – the Wolf Sanctuary of PA and the Wilbur Chocolate Museum.
These are GREAT day trips – I hope you’ll read more about them here!
