As spring brings weddings, proms and other formal-wear events, the Junior League of York is once again hosting its annual Prom Dress Blowout.
Sponsored in conjunction with members of the Public Relations Student Society of America from York College, the sale will be held Feb. 22-24 at West Manchester Mall, 1800 Loucks Road, West Manchester Township.
More than 500 dresses, from bridal gowns and prom dresses to homecoming and specialty dresses will be on sale, in child and adult sizes. Prices range from $5 to $40; accessories such as shoes, evening bags, gloves and wraps will be $1 each.
Sale hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Feb. 22, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 23 and 1 to 4 p.m. Feb. 25. Items can be donated at the mall’s guest services office or from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays at the Junior League of York Thrift Shop, 166 W. Market St., York.
This year’s event will be the last Prom Dress Blowout sponsored by the Junior League of York, as its members choose to focus on other projects.
