The Orioles struggled in a 9-3 loss to the New York Mets. The only bright spot came from leadoff man Ryan Freel, who had two hits.
The Washington Nationals played a tight game with the Houston Astros, but fell 6-3. Ronnie Belliard worked three walks in the game. We'll see if he stays that patient.
In other games, the Cincinnati Reds shut out the Tampa Bay Rays and the New York Yankees won easily over the Toronto Blue Jays, 6-1.
