Which active pitcher has the most career wins without ever having been selected to an All-Star team?
Tim Wakefield, of the Boston Red Sox, ranks 11th in wins among active hurlers with 178.
The 41-year-old is the Red Sox all-time leader in wins and has a higher career winning percentage than Nolan Ryan and has five seasons of more than 13 wins, which is more than AJ Burnett and Josh Beckett combined.
Not bad for a guy who started out as an infielder.
Even if he's never been an all-star.
