Which American League player reached base the most times in 2008?

Nope. Not A-Rod. Not Derek Jeter. Not Pedroia.
It was Nick Markakis.
That's right, the Baltimore Orioles right fielder reached base 283 times.
It was the lowest amount for the American League League since Frank Thomas paced the league in strike-shortened 1994, with 252 times on base.
