Griffeysmile.jpgThe Orioles are hoping to trade for a second baseman who's last name starts with "U."
The Yankees wouldn't. Would they?
The Nationals are keeping Jim Wriggleman.

Leading Off
The Nationals are set to take the interim off of Jim Wriggleman's managerial title.
Much like the Indians earlier this year, they've gone for the long-term bang over the short-term pizazz.
Wriggleman's a solid choice, but the Nationals could have used the short-term zip that comes with a big-name hire like Don Mattingly or Bobby Valentine.
However, the reason he's a solid choice is his his ability to handle a young team.
During his three-year tenure in San Diego, he helped the Padres grow into a team that would eventually earn two playoff trips later in the decade.
