A lot has been made about this being the Year of the Pitcher.
There were more no-hitters than Carlos Beltran home runs.
Ubaldo Jimenez looked like he might win 30 games.
Roy Halladay, Josh Johnson, Johan Santana, Mat Latos, Jaime Garcia, Adam Wainright, Chris Carpenter, Tim Hudson, Carl Pavano, David Price and CC Sabathia have dominated. Ten other pitchers probably deserve to be on his list.
Hell, Brett Myers and R.A. Dicky are pitching like Koufax and Drysdale.
But...
What about the rookies?
Jason Heyward, Buster Posey and Stephen Strasburg have starred, but Mike Leake, Travis Wood, Ike Davis, Tyler Colvin, Jon Jay, Jose Tabata, Neil Walker, Starling Castro, Wade Davis, Jeremy Hellickson, Austin Jackson and Brennan Boesch have been impressive, too.
