It is understandable if Penn State York tennis coach Mike Arnold is wearing a big smile these days.
Recently, Arnold said with some degree of certainty that Dallastown grad Connor Slates will be returning to the local Lions for this fall’s PSUAC team tennis season.
As a freshman last season Slates went 6-1 at men’s No. 2 singles, helping York to a conference regular season title.
But Arnold is hoping for another boost this fall when freshman Mikesh Desai, one of the top players from this spring’s YAIAA champion Central York, is expected to suit up for Penn State York.
