Hockey has taken 2007 Dallastown grad Dan Sullivan to many places, from Seattle to Anchorage within the past several months and this fall, the sport will take Sullivan to yet another place - college.
Sullivan, considered one of the best goalies to suit up in the CPIHL, has earned a scholarship to play for the University of Maine.
The 21-year-old spent last season with the Texas Tornado in the North American Hockey League and finished the campaign ranked the No. 1 goalie in the developmental NAHL by Goalies' World Magazine.
Sullivan will be one of four goalies competing for time in the Black Bears' net at the same school in which Detroit Red Wings starting goalie Jimmy Howard, former Philadelphia Flyers' keeper Garth Snow, plus current NHL standouts Dustin Penner and Paul Kariya attended.
