Bashing Wal-Mart a waste of time

Last week on the radio, I heard a very catchy advertisement. It was set to the tune of “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town. I couldn’t tell what company it was for until the end, and even when it was over I wasn’t sure if it was put on the air as a joke. It was a commercial for Wal-Mart Watch.

I was very confused about this group after hearing the little jingle on the radio. I wanted to know more about this so-called “watch, so I searched for their Web site.

On their Web site, it explained all the bad things that Wal-Mart brings to communities and how poorly they treat their employees.

I just had to sit back and laugh after reading all the things that this group of activists wrote about Wal-Mart.

Seriously, there are bigger issues in the world than worrying about where the next Wal-Mart will open or how they are said to be treating their employees. If people are getting treated unfairly or not getting paid enough, then they need to find a new job.

I honestly cannot believe that a group of people are against Wal-Mart and would waste their time protesting against the store. I highly doubt that Wal-Mart will take over the world.

Check it out for yourself: http://walmartwatch.com/.

Good effort to research what the spot was about, but I encourage you to do more research still. Wal-Mart's policies are reshaping the world economy. That is not an exaggeration. It's not just a matter of individuals quitting if they don't like it. In fact, Wal-Mart thrives on just that type of apathy.

You've taken the first step. Now look further. You will be very interested in what you learn about the world of Wal-Mart.
