I am trying to circulate a blog that I am just starting. It is to promote the awareness of environmental problems. If any readers could please help to circulate this blog, it would be greatly appreciated.

Seth- I too am quite conscious of the environment. I just think we have different methods of going about it. I look forward to working with you!

So, what is your approach? Michael Crichton, in his book, State of Fear, portrayed many environmental groups as corrupt and just trying to make money. Do you support real solutions beyond electing certain politicians, passing legislation, buying carbon credits, etc.? There was a time when most people only drove six days a week because stores were closed on Sundays. Also, there was a time when most teenagers did not own cars or numerous electronic gadgets. I think we're all aware of environmental issues, but we need to do more than just throw money and politics at the problems. I look forward to your ideas.

I believe that we can solve the problems if people are simply aware of what they are doing and its impact on the environment. Every small change can help, and that change can come through self-awareness. A person could pick up litter when walking through a park, recycle newspapers, drive a lot less, carpool to places, use natural bark mulch, cut back on pesticide usage, and so on. A person doesn't need to live a totally environmentally friendly life, but if they could make small imrpovements to their life it would greatly impact the growth of problems.

check out my blog, it's far more than global warming

Hey Seth! I didn't know you were on the staff either! [Well, I did, but I didn't remember. My apologies.] I look forward to working with you- "earl." I love the way you say that! I used to make you say pearl all the time too!

Seth, I plugged your blog on greenmesh.com

Your first post digs to the roots of an environmental blogger. Next time someone comments and accuses me of having an "agenda", I will think of your first post.

Paul - Actually, on another comment Seth has said that he's a protestor of nuclear power and supports Hillary Clinton. It's sort of hard to separate political and environmental issues.

Seth - I know that the environment is more than global warming. It's going to take more than a small effort by those people who are actually willing to make a small effort to help the environment. Just think of all the chemicals used to make our lawns look nice, all the water we use to wash our cars, and all the chemicals we use to clean our houses. I hope you address some practical items because that's what people are looking for.

Hey, Seth, did you see the Baltimore Sun article about the BP station with a "green" roof?
