Last night, when I was working at Weis, someone walked up to me and asked, "Are you Jake from the Teen Takeover staff?"
I said yes.
It wasn't the question that surprised me.
I've been recognized before: by the mailman, at Penn State York, by customers that go through my lane, and some other people.
This time, it was different.
Because it was Dylan.
We talked for a minute, and Dylan left.
It was only several minutes later that my brain had finished processing the event. I realized I should have said, "What are you doing here?" "How did you find me?" "Welcome to the Teen Takeover staff!" "I'm glad there'll be another conservative on the staff."
That's the first time something like this has happened to me.
Wow, teen takeovers are running around everywhere!
