Ayudame, por favor

Wish me luck on getting a job at Starbucks...I'm crossing all fingers and toes. Working there is the only chance I have at escaping my current job. Has anyone worked at Starbucks? Is it enjoyable? Or too stressful? I hope I'm not jumping from the frying pan into the burner...

I've never worked at a Starbucks myself, but a married couple I know actually met while working at a Starbucks in Boston. All I know is they still enjoy getting drinks at Starbucks, which to me is a sign that it was a decent enough place to work that it didn't cause them to make a solemn vow to never, ever go to a Starbucks again. My sister made such a vow after working at a Burger King for a few weeks, for example. :)

Michelle Renn worked, maybe still does work, at Sparky & Clark's downtown, so she might be able to give you some advice on coffee shop work, even though it's not Starbucks.

My sister worked at a Starbucks...also, she met her husband at Starbucks. He threw pastries at her. I think they both enjoyed working there.

I never worked at Starbucks, but I imagine it might be a little piece of heaven on earth for your mouth (but maybe not your waist!). I am more or less addicted to their double chocolate chip mocha frappaccinos. So, good luck!

Thanks for the comments!
