The Line

Seth Black is back!!!! Whoooo!!

After months of not blogging and ages of missing meetings due to Marching Band, I am finally reemerging on the journalistic scene!

On the topic tonight-reforming policies.

Recently in my Yearbook class, we have taken notice to the obscene point bars that we must reach in order to receive the appropriate grade.

Last year's point bars were 850 points to earn an A. Last year, 25 people on the Yearbook staff.

This year's point bars are 850 points to earn an A. This year, 60 people on the Yearbook staff.
The same amount of pages, spread and point oppurtunities are available this year as last year.

Where is the line that defines when it is time for a redressing of policies? Recently 6 staff members (myself included) wrote notes to the teacher that addressed this issue. So far, little to nothing has happened.

What should happen next? Strike?

The yearbook needs to be completed, but it is difficult to complete a yearbook with bad grades hanging over our heads. No, it isn't everything to earn an A, but a lower grade calls for a lower quality product...perhaps.
