Opening Night!

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, after the traditional "Hell's Week" of late nights, bad tempers, and everything possible going wrong, Susquehannock's play is finally ready to roll.

Set in the 1930s, Heaven Can Wait is the story of a boxer, Joe Pendleton, who gets taken into the afterlife before his time. Unable to put him back into his cremated body, the head angel, Ms. Jordan, decides to put his soul into the body of Jonathan Farnsworth, a cranky millionaire about to die. What Joe does as Farnsworth--and how the Farnsworth household reacts--takes the story on a confusing, comical journey to its satisfying ending. Unlikely? Sure. Hysterical? Absolutely.

After two months of hard work, I can't wait to see--and participate in--the finished product tonight. Yes, I'm exhausted, but I'm pumped. After all, how many times in your life do you get to be a classy, sassy adulterous murderer dripping in diamonds?
