So, I'm scrapping this rant together after a true hell week.
Not only was it the second hell week of our school production " Clue: The Musical," but I also had a college appilcation to work on and two stories to write. One was for the school newspaper, the other...wasn't.
What I'm getting at is this: Doing extra-cirricular activities, school related or not, is like having a second, or even third job.
Central senior Brittany Preston, who is the editor of her school newspaper and a TT staff member feels that the burden is especially heavy on student journalists. "We have to wear so many hats as editors and accomplish so many things in such short amount of time, said Preston via e-mail."
This week I spent 4 hours at rehersal each night. So, if my math skills serve me right, that is 10 and a half hours at school each day. The average average nine to five job is nine hours. This doesn't take into account time spent on additional extra-cirrculars, some of which may be by-passed because other activities are most crucial to a student's future endeavors, such as applying to college.
The funny thing is, most students are over-stressed and already know everything I just said. Sorry if I wasted your time!

It gets old being an overachiever. And a student editor--our November issue is gonna be the death of me, haha.
