Our school is thinking about doing away with midterms and finals.
Cool.
Is anyone out there in cyberland watching Sci-Fi’s “Tinman.”? Its a spin off/modern version/allusion to The Wizard of Oz. Its sci-fi, so at best we’re getting a B-movie, with poor to average acting, odd dialogue, and cool sets.
I’m listening to Tenacious D’s “Wonderboy.” God, I love Jack Black.
This blog is slowly sinking. But I know everyone’s plates are busy with school. So, this means I’m procrastinating on my schoolwork for the sake of the blog.
Now Adam Sandler’s “The Chanukah Song” is playing. I only know one sort of Jewish person, my friend Emily. (Am I the only one who thinks saying ‘jew’ is demeaning? I think of the Holocaust and Hitler saying “terminate the jews.”)
But I digress. Emily is inviting me to her family’s celebration of Chanukah. That’ll be interesting.
And that’s all.
I should do my homework.

*raises hand* Jew in your presence!
“Jew” isn’t demeaning at all. At least it shouldn’t be! It’s sad that certain past events would lead people to think so.
I remember the other day in the halls, someone used the term “stupid Jew” as an insult, and that really upset me. “Jew” is the actual term for someone who’s Jewish, as “Christian” is the term for someone who is, well, Christian! There’s no difference.
Although there’s a certain “k” word out there that I would certainly call demeaning…
