Does anyone else find that they're still not ready for the holidays?
I keep saying to myself, "Just one more thing to get out of the way, then you can enjoy break." But I keep remembering more and more things that I have to do.
Yesterday was our holiday concert for the school, which went off without a hitch. Then I had to write analyses on the movie Man of the Year for government class. When the bell finally rang, other students went home to party and celebrate break. I ran home to memorize a monologue and song for musical auditions last night. And tonight I have yet another concert.
I enjoy being busy, but at this point, I'm almost at the end of my rope. The only thing getting me through is the thought that this concert really is the last thing separating me from 10 days of relaxation.
Oh, wait. I still have to pick up some last-minute presents. It never ends.
