ABC brought a witty and charming show to viewers this fall. "Pushing Daisies" illustrates the power and beauty of being alive, and adds comedy and fantasy to television.
The revolutionary visual effects, brightly enhanced colors and filming techniques make viewers feel as though they have escaped into a fairy tale.
The show centers on pie maker Ned, played by Lee Pace, who knows the perfect ingredient to his delicious pie recipe - dead fruit.

Ned has the ability to bring dead fruit back to its fullest ripeness at the touch of his finger.
This mysterious superpower works for all organisms. However, there is a catch: If Ned touches the revived person or organism a second time, they die permanently; and if a person or organism is revived for more than one minute, someone or something nearby dies.
Ned uses his unique ability to join with private investigator Emerson Cod, played by Chi McBride. They solve murder cases and then split the reward money.
After learning that his childhood sweetheart Chuck, played by Anna Friel, had recently been killed, Ned decides to find her and solve her murder.
However, after seeing Chuck for the first time since childhood, Ned decides to permanently bring her back to life and instantly adores her. Complications arise when Ned and Chuck fall in love but cannot touch, which adds great comedy and contention to the show.
Chuck joins Ned and Emerson Cod in solving murder cases, and on the way comically find the true meaning of being alive.
"Pushing Daisies" is a sharp, clever hit that entertains and excites viewers. It offers a little bit of everything including mystery, fantasy, drama and comedy.
"Pushing Daisies" is very charming and heartwarming; and brings a breath of fresh air to television.
"Pushing Daisies" is a must-see on ABC Wednesday nights at 8.
