Senior Year, Fall Semester...Hands Down Most Stressful Time

| | Comments (5)

Whoever says that junior year of high school is the hardest and most stressful year is lying, for the most part. So far all this senior year has brought me is a mountain of stress that all roots with college.

Students do not truly know how stressful it is, applying to colleges, until they have done it. It isn't really the applying part that is stressful, it's the wait. Seniors with their mind set on a certain college apply early decision, only to wait the most stressful 3 months of their lives to see if they get in. Student's also put all there eggs in one basket towards that one college, and are basically, for a lack of a better term, screwed if they don't get in. Of course there are other colleges and universities they could apply to, but it isn't that one. So t he three months of waiting is the most stressful time in a person's life (as I continue to wait for an acceptance letter).

MMmm.... sorry to say, but it gets worse. Wait until senior year of college when everyone you know is scrambling to find a job in the field they want, location they want, for the money they want - all trying to avoid an eternity living in Mommy and Daddy's basement. That's when the Real World smacks you in the face.

Ohh...good luck!

Fall semester of your freshman year of college isn't a walk in the park either.

Seth, I feel your pain. I'm tired of checking my mailbox to find nothing of importance. It's stressful.

Best of luck, Seth! Once you get that letter you feel on top of the world!
