Nostalgia normally hits me once a day, but little was I prepared for the huge nostalgia swing that I experienced at lunch today. A few of my friends and I were talking about the old Central High School, and how it is about to die out.
Noone after the graduating class will be able to recall the great times of the old high school. How much better it was, how free it was, how it was awesome (to say the least). All that the students will remember is the new high school, which is trying to be big. It is hard for me to write down the awesome-ities, that were the old high school, in prose. This calls for a list, a list of the things that will become legend after this year, only known though stories passed down (and a few surviving teachers).
1. Freedom in the Outdoors-about the number 1 thing that I miss, being able to refresh your brain after a class by taking a stroll ouytside between classes.
2. Openness- even though the new high school looks to be big, it lacks in comparison to the old high school. The old one was much more open, wide, and awesome.
3. The Bridge- just as it says, the aboove-ground hallway connecting the two sections of the old high school
4. Many Single Line Cafeteria Lines- More efficient than the open crowded area that we have now
5. Fireplaces- well...there were fireplace, or what looked like them. They let cold air in during the winter months in the old wing
6. Gargoyles- Even though I get to pass them everyday in the new school, they were much better in theor original place
7. Trailers- Yes, you heard it! I miss the awesome trailer rooms that we had some classes in
8. An actual BAND STORAGE ROOM!- A huge room with 5564356 lockers, providing an awesome place to hide and do homework and hang out in the morning (and other times)
9. The hallway greenroom- I miss the hallway with 3 rooms that served as the PAD's greenroom
10. Dunkin Donuts- Only a five minute walk away if you wanted to grab a bite before an afterschool practice
11. The incline stadium entrance- that huge hill that almost killede me twice served as a much better entrance for the marching band than the "through the tunnel" entrance
12. Actual Big Cookie Fridays- actual big cookies served to everyone on fridays. no limit to the greatness.
Oh how I shall miss these things, and these things will die out soon. The candle is almost unlit.

I really agree with you, Seth. However, I tend to forget about all that is wrong with the new school when I walk into the theatre.
Cool.
Since I don't go to Central, what is going on that's destroying the old school features?
Hahahaham oh my Lily. We have a new high school.
Oh well pardon me for not knowing that. I thought they were just expanding and getting rid of the old features, not getting an entirely new school.
